Why I Started Everyday KOREA
I’m a Korean woman who spent years living in Hollywood, California. Coming back to Korea made me realize how many daily moments go unnoticed—even by locals. I wanted to document these small cultural rhythms: the silence in a subway car, the warmth of shared side dishes, the way people bow slightly without words.
Everyday KOREA is my way of sharing that quiet side of Korea with the world.

Even though some of my videos may use a male voiceover for international clarity, the stories, scripting, and cultural context are all curated by me. I believe that showing Korea through a Korean woman’s lived experience adds emotional honesty and cultural clarity—something that’s often lost in translation.

저는 캘리포니아 헐리우드에서 오랫동안 살다 돌아온 한국 여성입니다. 다시 한국에 와보니, 너무나도 당연한 일상이 사실은 소중한 문화라는 걸 깨달았어요. 지하철의 정적, 밥상 위의 반찬 공유, 말 없는 고개 끄덕임. 이런 것들이 한국을 진짜로 보여주는 장면이죠.
이 채널에서 볼 수 있는 것들
관광 책자엔 나오지 않는 이야기들을 담습니다. 사회적 예절, 무언의 룰, 감정 표현 방식, 식사 문화, 가족 관계, 공공장소 행동 등, 한국인이 어떻게 일하고, 소통하고, 살아가는지를 깊이 있게 보여드려요.
여성 창작자의 시선
일부 영상에서 남성 보이스오버를 사용할 때도 있지만, 모든 콘텐츠의 기획, 글, 문화적 맥락은 제가 직접 만들고 있습니다. 한국 여성의 시선에서 전하는 이야기는 감정과 맥락을 담고 있어요. 이는 종종 번역으로는 전달되지 않는 부분이기도 하죠.
이런 시선이 필요한 이유
한국을 소개하는 글로벌 콘텐츠는 대부분 K컬처나 외국인의 해석을 따르죠. 하지만 저는 다릅니다. 과장 없이, 편견 없이, 진짜의 시선으로 한국을 전하고 싶어요. 이는 누군가에게는 연결이고, 누군가에겐 공감이며, 누군가에겐 새로운 발견이 될 수 있다고 믿어요.
